Once upon a time, Jack had a girlfriend.

It wasn't as though Llandovery produced a great variety of girls his age (admittedly, Winnie was older), and Jack, who was about fourteen at the time, could hardly complain about the choice he made. Winnie was his first sexual experience and Winnie loved Annabelle, and Jack fully expected he would marry her one day. Not because he loved her enough to marry her, but because that was what was expected. And, well, Annabelle liked her, too.

But Winifred had an older brother. He was called Dylan. Dylan helped tutor Jack during the time he spent out of school. Jack had a lot of brushing up to do to get into Eton, but the sort of brushing up Dylan worked on ended up being, well, sexual education. What began as mutual masturbation turned into full on sex.

And even a threesome.

Because Dylan and Winnie were a little closer than most brothers and sisters tend to be.

Of course, Jack wasn't exactly overeager about the entire affair, but he was growing rather fond of Dylan. Until Dylan decided he wasn't gay. It was just a thing, you know? It didn't mean anything.

When Jack left for Eton in 2003, he didn't come back.
