Sophie: Dead or Alive

On 12 November, 1999, Sophie Griffith died in the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, of complications from ovarian cancer. She had been diagnosed only six months earlier. Due to the severity and progression of the cancer, she had not undergone much treatment. She was buried in the Brompton Cemetery.

After Avery learned about being an angel, he and his mother Claire were able to bring Sophie back to visit Jake in 2005, and hopefully give Jake some closure after her death. Only twelve at the time of her death, Jake still missed his mother greatly and had never gotten over the loss even after six years. They spent two weeks together, and even though he still missed her once she was gone again, Jake was extremely grateful to Avery and Claire.

Later that year, Avery and Claire were able to bring her back again - this time for Christmas. This was after they had discovered Jake's biological father to be Domani Reali, and Domani was at the Fitzwilliam Estate for Christmas as well. Sophie and Domani were able to reunite, for what they assumed would be a short time. More closure would be acheived, and their family would be (somewhat) completed.

Except, Sophie became pregnant.

It was around 15 January, 2006, that Claire realized what had happened, and was able to explain what she knew to Sophie. Having conceived out of needed love, the child would take on Sophie's angel qualities and Sophie became human again, needing to support the baby growing inside her.
