Detailed Information

Physical Description

Going along with a great many of her relatives, Sidney is fairly tall (5'11") and moderately slender. Her hair is light brown and blonde, wavy and not happy when it's straightened under someone else's persuasion. Her eyes are grey. She is beautiful, because she is an angel. For the most part, she ignores that aspect of her appearance.

Personal Information

Sidney was Pierrick Rémi's youngest daughter for a really long time, although by no means his youngest descendant. She's also his aunt, due to his habit of building in new identities for himself inside his family, as he's currently passing for her oldest brother's third child. This amuses virtually everyone in their rather large family.

Backstory

Backstory: Simplified

Unlike a great many of her cousins, Sidney decided she did not want to work for her father's corporation, le Société de Rémi. Instead, at about the age of twenty, she chose to relocate to New York City, using the name Janet Remy. Soon after, she met Jack and Nancy, got herself named Sid again instead, and before very long they'd headed to London to open up a pub Jack named The Rusty Goat. At the opening, they met a man named Ezra Thacker, who became very good friends with Sidney almost immediately.

In 2003, in a fit of possibly-misplaced sympathy, Sidney turned herself into a 24-year-old American man for a week and a half, spending almost all of that time in Ezra's company for a sort of fling. Her reasoning at the time was that he'd been gloomy from a rather miserable breakup for entirely too long, and needed to be reminded that he actually was lovely, in more ways than one, and not a troglodyte. And then "Lucas" went back to Chicago and Ezra got a few emails from him before mostly losing touch, but at least he cheered up long enough to get another boyfriend. Sidney has never told him that Lucas was her, and never intends to do so.

Currently, Sidney is attempting to resist her father's persuasions that she take up management of the new restaurant he intends to open in London. She hasn't decided how successful either of them has been, yet. He's been working on her for quite a while.

She's also been trying to date Firefly for several months now, although she's not sure how she ended up at this point. At first, it was just one of Jack's crazy ideas – get the outlaw biker to fill in as cook! Wonderful idea! The fact that the outlaw biker was also a demon wasn't something Jack knew – Jack doesn't know that Sid's an angel, either, or any of the rest of her family. As far as Jack and Nancy are concerned, Sid's father retired, and her nephew had a very close relationship with her, which is why he came to stay in September 2007 when his wife died. Sidney's never quite figured out how to tell them, or why she would. She helped Jack become pregnant, and is proud she could do that, but that doesn't mean that she wants to tell her.

But as for Firefly, well – there was a demon in the kitchen, and she was terribly surprised at the time. And yet – he wasn't hurting anyone. He was just some fellow who wanted to do the cooking, and she couldn't quite bring herself to find fault with that. She even got kind of used to him, in time. And then ended up more than used to him, and he spent a great deal of time with them, and somehow along the way he ended up staying in their apartment more often than not.

She still doesn't know how she ended up dating him, and they still haven't had sex – oddly enough, any attempt at physical intimacy has a tendency to end up with at least one of them in a great deal of pain, plus at least one splitting headache, and occasionally some unconsciousness. It's almost as though their natures are at complete odds with each other, no matter what their personalities might have to say about it.

It mostly just sucks.
