Séverin Rémi

Séverin, husband of Rosine, was the first in Pierrick Rémi's family to make his lover immortal.

In his case, she wasn't just his lover, but also his wife; in his case, she was dying from a rough childbirth, and he needed her, not only for himself, but because their daughter needed her mother. He has never regretted his decision, and to his knowledge, neither has she.

In turn, as time passed, Séverin's relationship with his grandfather changed. His grandfather Pierrick became first his older brother, keeping the same name, and then in later years took the role of his son, changing his name to Pierre in a shallow attempt to disguise himself.

It has a tendency to make family conversations confusing, at any rate.

Séverin used to work in a hotel as a wine steward, when he was an actually young man. In the 1960s, he and Rosine retired from the city and moved to a vineyard west of Paris, where they entertain family and make really damn good wine.

He won't leave Earth until Rosine does, and if she's waiting for him to bring it up instead, they'll be here for centuries still. He misses their children, both of whom have passed out of the world already. He misses his father, too, and the close relationship he had in decades past with Pierrick.

He probably served in the Great War, although not I think in the same area as Pierrick did. And I don't believe he fought in WWII any more than Pierrick did, either – they were both too busy trying to protect their family during the occupation.

Annnnnnd that's all I've got for now.
