Pre-Dirty Life

As stated many, many times before now and probably many, many times after, Dirty Life was preceeded by another original game. Most of what happened in that game is now regarded as uncanonical, but the events have been reworked into what is used today.

The Eton Years

2001 - 2004

Essentially, before Dirty Life came into existence, Avery Driscoll, Jake Griffith, Jack Dickon, Frank Benedict, Oliver Caldwell and now-NPC Clydai Morgan attended Eton College.

  • A Field Sable has many other canon characters. However, much of the events that took place in that game have been rewritten or written out completely. The following are now the key canon events:
    • Avery was a childhood friend of Oliver's, best friends for what they thought would be forever but were sadly mistaken. Oliver could not go to Eton until he was properly thirteen, and even though he was a few months older than Avery, Avery got in first, at the early age of twelve (partially due to the hemisphere/school term differences and mostly because of his intelligence and prestige).
    • Avery stayed with Frank's family in London before the start of his first term in order to get familiar with the area and gain knowledge from Helen Benedict's son, who was about four years older than Avery and already at Eton. Unfortunately, Frank became Avery's first boyfriend out of a desire to corrupt the boy and did so quite well. He possessive and angry, due in part to his father's early death, and abused Avery for two years straight, then stalked him through Avery's final term before he withdrew from Eton after being attacked. Frank was sent to jail.
    • Jake and Avery had been friends since the first day of term in 2001. They were separated by Frank under pain of potential death if they got together. In 2004, they rekindled their friendship, then their love.
    • Jack was an incoming student at the beginning of term in 2003. He also became friends with Avery, then Avery's first boyfriend after Frank. He cheated on Avery after Avery went home because of Frank's violent outburst, but the two ended up staying together.
    • Avery's "two boyfriends" eventually became one unit of three people very much in love. Which is where DL came in.
