Physical Description
Miss Moira is about 5'3", currently, and hoping to grow more. She has bright red hair and pale skin. Blue eyes like her father's. She has been dancing for most of her life, and her physique reflects this. Irish dancers are the ones with the muscle, after all.
Personal Information
As stated, Moira is an Irish dancer. Her mother was also a dancer, and enrolled her in the Maguire O'Shea Academy when Moira was just three years old. Moira has gone to Worlds three times, getting eighth the first time, fourth the second time and getting first in 2006. She hopes to get first next time, as well. She has won the All Irelands twice and the oireachtas three times.
But dancing isn't the only family tradition she's picked up. Her mother's grandmother was incredibly superstitious and also incredibly anti-English. She passed down stories upon stories from her native Ireland and those stories have always been in the family. Moira is fascinated with all things fantastic and supernatural and collects anything written or illustrated by Brian Froud and Alan Lee. She claims to be an expert on old legends and knows quite a few that a lot of people don't. Local legends. The ones her great-grandmother swore were true.
She also likes fish and chips and goofing off with her friends Marcus and Ellie.
Backstory
Moira's dad was born of Irish heritage in Chicago (he's the first generation and has two siblings), her mother is from Belfast in Northern Ireland, but they live in London at the moment. They being Moira and her little brother, Simon. Simon is ten and a complete nuisance, according to Moira. Most people would probably agree.
She's lived a normal life, traveling about to feiseanna and dancing once a week during competitionless times of the year. She practices her dancing at home for an hour a day, in a small studio room that her father built in the garage. Her father is an accountant and her mother works at a bakery and volunteers at Maguire O'Shea.
They travel to Chicago and Belfast once a year to visit family.
