The list is divided between PLAYED CHARACTERS and NPCs, so please put your characters in the APPROPRIATE SECTION! And please don't overload the NPC section.

Played Characters

Anyone out of the Fitzwilliam family.

This family is notable, at least in Britain, because they are the wealthiest family in the UK, and one of the wealthiest families in the world. Some of its members are noticed for other things, and they will be mentioned separately. The rest hold a similar degree of fame, much like many old, rich families in the world today. Not quite tabloid fodder, but not quite unknown. They are famous for being old blue blooded royalty (and are still in government today), and for diamonds. (The more tabloid-friendly side is the diamond side. The rest are fairly well ignored by the limelight.)

Leonid Antonov

Isn't famous, really. Is only a name you'd recognize if you investigated the history of Russian organized crime and the prison systems. He broke out of a Siberian prison camp in January 2008 and was allegedly known by the prisoners as some sort of inhuman creature with wings who never aged. Was kept in solitary confinement for most of his twenty years there. Is now a high-ranking member of the vory v zakone once more, but again, these are not famous people. You won't see his name in any tabloids. Even his escape was quietly hushed up. He's significant enough to warrant mention because there are some characters who might run into his legacy.

Abigail Barker

Best known for being the daughter of Louise Fitzwilliam. Also starting to become a star in her own right, as the (pregnant! gasp!) drummer of grunge rock band Hou die Kleingeld.

Kit Barlow

Recognizable by the eyes to those who saw her ad campaigns as a child. As Aikaterine Barlow, people know her as one of the Rose Harris heiresses, and the current lead designer's younger daughter (as well as one of the illegitimate twins, who were all over the tabloids when they were sixteen – for existing).

Joelle Bérard

French hotel heiress, age seventeen, who was kidnapped shortly after her seventeenth birthday. Very talented hunter-jumper, as well, with Gauthier Farms – though to her distaste she is more easily recognized as the first. A Rémi.

Claire Camden

Heiress of much of the Fitzwilliam Diamond Company's fortune. Oldest child of Charlie Fitzwilliam, the former CEO of the company. Richest woman in South Africa. Huge philanthropist. Former principal dancer with the Royal Ballet, as well, between 1982 and 1988. Was once considered a ballet prodigy (you get those now and again—look at Baryshnikov). Along with her two younger sisters, was part of the Sisters Fitzwilliam in the 1980s and often shot for fashion editorials and interviewed for high-end magazines. Hugely into fashion and inspires many fashion designers (there is a Marc Jacobs bag in her name).

Jack Dickon

Known to be dating, allegedly married to Avery Driscoll. Also a rising fashion designer often worn by Claire Camden. Notably flamboyant in his personality. A bit of an acid tongue. Stylish kid.

Bess Driscoll

Along with her two brothers, Bess is famous for being Claire Camden's daughter. She's also making a name for herself as a ballet dancer, as she's just about as good as her mother was at her age, and far more precocious.

Avery Driscoll

Known simply because his mother is well-known; then, as a boy, he turned out to be a prodigy on the violin, so he's been known for that ever since. But he's also famous because he is very openly gay and in a closed relationship with Jack Dickon and Jake Griffith. Known to have gotten into a lot of problems at Eton (bullies, specifically), and also known to have been the source of a strange anomaly at a London hospital in 2006. He was reportedly fatally hypothermic but did not die and was removed from the hospital before he was well. All investigations into it were stopped and it really isn't even talked about anymore.

James Driscoll

Famous because his mother and brother are famous, but also known as a model. About as famous as other male models his age, so the people who have heard of him for that career and not his family are probably in the fashion world niche.

Samantha Fitzgerald

Known for being the youngest daughter of Scott Fitzwilliam and wife of wealthy investor Graham Fitzgerald. Had her fair share of scandal at a young age, but is now pregnant with her first child, and many tabloid photos have been snapped of her and her growing stomach out buying baby clothes, nursery furniture, et cetera.

Alice Fitzwilliam

Known for being Isabella Fitzwilliam's youngest daughter more than anything else.

Isabella Fitzwilliam

Was once one of the most recognizable socialites in the world. Was known as the wife of Randolf Fitzwilliam, CEO of the Fitzwilliam Diamond Company between the 1930s and 1960, when their son, Charlie, took over. Was even more famous as a freak act in England, where she showed off her wings and did quite a bit of dancing and singing. Was an American vaudeville sensation and later, was a Ziegfeld Girl for the 1931 revue. Unfortunately, all of these things that made her famous, including posing for Playboy in 1956, don't matter, because she famously died in 1983 from a broken heart (her husband passed away just before her). That doesn't explain why her doppelgänger has been seen floating about London. Someone might get a clue one day.

Fabian Fitzwilliam

Runs Capio Healthcare, but is actually better known for being Alice Fitzwilliam's son with longtime partner Robert Capio (who himself was very much an unknown despite the hospitals, and doesn't belong on this list).

Louise Fitzwilliam

Known as the slut since the early 80s, was often and still is often in the tabloids for her sexual escapades. Heiress of the Fitzwilliam Diamond Company who notably walked out on her family in March of 2007. Considered a cruel bitch by most of the world, but she's hot and sexual so people love to follow her.

Jake Griffith

Originally known for dating Avery Driscoll and for being very stylish, hot, and gay, is now also known for being the oldest son (and a shock for both parties) of Domani Reali, the retired AC Milan defender.

Evangeline Guidry

A very well-known investigative reporter, just about anyone involved in news both knows and fears her. Her column looking into the world from an investigative eye and sometimes also features personal insights, which runs weekly in the Globe and Mail and is syndicated internationally, has become very popular. She was also a very close friend of both Alexander Litvinenko and Anna Politkovskaya before their deaths – and was almost the third victim of the polonium poisonings, something that is not widely known. She's written a couple of non-fiction books, too. Both were New York Times bestsellers.

Olivia de Havilland

In addition to being a diamond heiress, she is also one of the remaining heirs to the de Havilland Aircraft Company, famous for producing a fair share of the world's planes since the Second World War. She's one of the Fitzwilliams who tends to lay low in terms of the social sphere and avoids the paparazzi like the plague. In the acting world, however, she's started to dig in, and has been seen in a fair number of plays (and the occasional movie).

Estee Matthews

Dating Pierrick Rémi. The tabloids haven't picked up on her name yet, or anything about her, but there are pictures of the two of them together. People who read a lot of celebrity gossip might recognize her face. (Also, she's Alice Fitzwilliam's therapist, but nobody knows that.)

Lindsey O'Gevany

Well-known in Mexico City and parts of Los Angeles and London, as well as famous among musicians throughout the world – at least those who follow contemporary/classical pianists and composers. He has fans! He's also got a very striking appearance, as he's gigantic and has dusky skin, dark red hair, and green eyes – Mexican and Red Irish will do that to you. It's also possible to know him as Kita MacGruder's husband, especially since the wedding was in the United States, full of Marines, and Lindsey's mother got locked in a closet so President Bush wouldn't see her.

Hesione Pree

Princess of Calescotia. Kept in even more seclusion than anyone else on that island.

Domani Reali

Retired defender for the AC Milan football team. Known for being bisexual and very smoothly Italian (hot and suave, okay). Now known for having fathered Jake Griffith back in 1987. This came to light in autumn 2005, before he retired. Married Sophie Griffith in 2006. Is now the father of Ava Reali, one of the cutest celebrity babies you'll ever meet.

Pierrick Rémi

Very attractive CEO of The Rémi Corporation; had some tabloid scandals involving his late (most recent) wife, Etain Kavanagh, an Irish supermodel quite a lot older than him – first because she was a great deal older than he appeared to be, and second because she died in the hospital just after giving birth to his twin children. They had a whirlwind courtship and got married very quietly in private, while she was pregnant, furthering the tabloid fodder. Recently has been seen around London in the company of Estee Matthews, but fortunately nobody in the press knows that she was (very briefly) his therapist. That would just be one giant can of worms.

Sidney Remy

While less famous than her father, Sid is still pretty famous – mostly for being "Pierre Rémi's" youngest child and only daughter, especially in France. In London, she is known for being one of the owners of The Rusty Goat, a pub in the West End with a very particular reputation for quirky atmosphere, good food, and creative signature drinks. Has also received some press lately for being the family member her "nephew", Pierrick, came to stay with following the death of his wife.

Vincent Remy

Famous mostly in and around Salem, Oregon. CEO of Remy OR, Inc., one of the town's biggest employers, as there's an engineering and design department, various bureaucratic sectors, and a big huge factory on one side of town. Remy OR is as conscientiously green as such a corporation can be, and as a whole is fairly well-liked and respected throughout the town.

Bianca Wernher

Very well-known solicitor, due to both representing the Fitzwilliam family – most recently Jack Camden in the self-defense killing of Michael Warren – and being the solicitor in the high-profile Eidolon Killing of Gabriel Thorne that led to her marrying her client, Derek Wernher. Their whirlwind love story is poignant and odd, so a lot of people followed it. Especially serial killer groupies.

Derek Wernher

Famous for being the Eidolon Killer (the death of Gabriel Thorne) and marrying his solicitor the night before sentencing. Attempts to keep out of the public eye, as he's never been particularly comfortable around large crowds of people and living in the middle of nowhere for fifteen years didn't really get him used to them. Can be seen around London with his infant son, however, along with parts of Cairo and Cape Town at times. Pisses off airport security to no end whenever he goes flying anywhere, though.

NPCs

Marion Andrews

Known as Claire Camden's aunt now more than anything else, she was once a dancer with the Kirov Ballet in Russia.

Tess Bromley, Tess Isyanova

Famous as she was for being a ballet dancer in Russia (Imperial Ballet) and France (Ballet Russes) in the early 20th century. Marion and Ruth Andrews' mother. Ruth is Claire Camden's mother and the wife of Charlie Fitzwilliam.

Charlie Fitzwilliam

Former CEO of the Fitzwilliam Diamond Company, retired as of January 2008. Richest man in Britain. Known for being very kind, reserved, and for smoking a pipe.

Eleanor Fitzwilliam

Claire Camden's youngest sister, she is known simply by default, but is really only known by people who enjoy documentary films about sea life, specifically Discovery network fanatics.

Lady Elizabeth Fitzwilliam

Wife of Sir Frederick Fitzwilliam and mother of Randolf Fitzwilliam, she was well-in with all of the most elite circles of people and hugely into fashion. Was close to Lady Duff Gordon and Coco Chanel. Very social. Famous for being so social.

Sir Frederick Fitzwilliam

Second CEO of the Fitzwilliam Diamond Company. Father of Randolf Fitzwilliam.

Patrick Fitzwilliam

The youngest child of Charlie Fitzwilliam but the current CEO of the Fitzwilliam Diamond Company.

Randolf Fitzwilliam

The oldest son of more famous Fitzies, became CEO of the Fitzwilliam Diamond Company in the early 30s, after marrying super-famous Irish-American vaudevillian, Isabella Radcliffe. Known for being a playboy in his younger years and a charmer in his older years, and for triggering the death of his wife when he died in 1983.

Ruth Fitzwilliam

Famous because she is Charlie Fitzwilliam's wife of fifty four years. Her mother and sister were famous dancers.

Scott Fitzwilliam

Lead designer of the Fitzwilliam Diamond Company and brother of Charlie Fitzwilliam. His pieces are remarkable and he's a favorite of the company. And of many other companies. He teaches at seminars once in awhile.
