List of reasons 2002 was bad

Avery Driscoll gets drugged and sexually fucked with (literally) by Frank Benedict a lot, to the point of being overdosed on drugs on multiple occasions. Fortunately enough, Avery is an angel and cannot die.
Claire Camden and John Driscoll suffer the first breakdown in their marriage because of Avery's problems at Eton.
Jack Dickon gets hurt by Dylan and is forced to leave Winnie after Dylan decides "he's not gay wtf". Jack heads to London and begins a year of highly-charged sexual escapades, including Black Thunder.
Ryan Bertrand's younger daughter dies of Tay-Sachs disease at age two. He doesn't know about his older daughter, so that makes it even worse. His relationship with her mother, predictably, doesn't survive either.
Robert Capio crosses over, which sucks for Alice and Fabian more than it really does for him, but the death of a patient that was inadvertently caused by him (and caused the stress attack) happened in 2002 as well.
Alice Fitzwilliam is diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2002.
