Physical Description
Lisanne is 5'6", or about 162cm, has shoulder length red/auburn hair and brown eyes. She has pale skin and is on the skinnier side, and could almost be called scrawny.
Personal Information
Her mother died during childbirth, so Lisanne was raised solely by her father. Of English and Afrikaans heritage (father and mother respectively) Lisanne speaks both fluent English and Afrikaans. Though by no means rich, her father is better off than most in South Africa; he is a successful merchant. All of their money goes to paying for Lisanne's schooling, and Jordaan's medical bills. When Lisanne was ten her father began dating - a man. Jordaan Winchel has been in their lives since, and the two are now engaged and plan to marry in 2007. Jordaan is HIV positive.
Lisanne is a very excitable yet clever girl. She is quite an optimist (she's rarely ever sad), often daydreams, and is always bouncing or dancing around. Despite her bright personality she has few friends - in fact she comes off as very naive and annoyingly cheerful to a lot of her peers - and prefers to keep to herself. She reads avidly, loves romance and fairytales, and likes crafty things like painting, decorating, and knitting. She and her father are very close, and since joining their household she has also come to treat Jordaan as a stepfather and is protective of both of them and their relationship, as well as Jordaan's health. She will not permit anyone at school, or on the street, make any negative remarks about her parents without getting in remarks of her own.
Her best friend is Etienne Nisbet, who she not-so-secretly has a bit of a crush on. All his silence and shyness delights her.
