Little Kate Underhill, petite and fair. With red cheeks, auburn hair and a pretty smile. She was born in 1650 to aristocrats living in Ireland. Her father was a political figure. She was destined for a wonderful life in one of the most influential families.

Caradoc Fitzwilliam grew up in the English court and spent his summers at the estate in Wiltshire. His father knew the royal families of the world. They had lots of money. Caradoc was spoiled and selfish. He didn't much care for tiny Katherine Underhill.

Little Kate Underhill. Went missing in 1663 shortly after marrying Caradoc. She was betrothed to him from birth and married him at thirteen. Caradoc was ten years her senior and carrying on a steady relationship with Lady Sarah Brewer, daughter of a countess. He married and had children with her after Katherine's disappearance.

During renovations of the estate in the late 19th century and early 20th century, a skeleton was found entombed in a cellar no one knew was there. No tests were ever done and it remains in a university storage facility.

(Invited on a walk with her new husband, Katherine was only a few yards into the forest when she was bludgeoned by an ax to the head. Astoundingly, she didn't die immediately, but Caradoc assumed she was dead and entombed her in a cellar. She slowly bled to death. Unfortunately, the stench and her body wouldn't behave, so Caradoc had to remove her once when her body was in a vast state of decomposition. She was cut into six separate pieces (two legs, two arms, one head, one torso) and replaced.

Her ghost remains with the estate and is a strange entity indeed. She does not leave the kitchens and lower levels where the cellars were, and is often not witnessed at all. As she died a miserable death, her head covered by a woven sack, her ghost feeds off of misery and can spiral anyone into a deep depression if they are in a bad enough mood. When you see her, she is partially shrouded by the bag that asphyxiated her before she could bleed to death. It's best not to see her. She is, over all, more of an atmospheric entity than a visual one.)
