After Jake's mother died, John Griffith and his two boys moved into a two-floor, extremely posh flat in London. Nick was already on his own, and with John gone so much, the flat truly became Jake's. Avery spent a good part of the autumn of 2004 in this apartment, with Jack.

When John was killed in a plane crash that same year, Jake really did inherit the flat and until 2005, the boys occupied it without any parents. At all. Ever. Except when Claire would visit.

In the autumn of 2005, after the discovery of Domani Reali, Jake sold the flat and they moved into the Chelsea House, Jake's only true childhood home.
