Physical Description
Hesione is blonde, with paleish brown eyes, and slightly freckled skin. She is not all that tall, but not really short either, and she does up nicely in fancy clothing, even if sometimes she doesn't like it. Me and descriptions SO do not get along properly.
Personal Information
She is a synaesthetic, and also has magic. Notes on the magic in a minute, as it is all technically neurological and totally falls under no pre-estabished category besides 'visionary,' really. But the synaesthesia relates a lot to the way Hes is. 'Shy' is overstating it -- Hesione is far more social and talkative than your average hermit, but she isn't a rambler. She's also very very slow to trust people, and while she will call anyone an associate, calling someone 'friend' takes a long time. She's ashamed of both of her abilities (the synaesthesia being termed to her more as a disease, while the other a terrible affliction) due to the fact that her family's always been so. They never gave her positive feedback at all. Her synaesthesia will pull her away from normal concepts, however, and it's possible she might call someone 'too bright' or a certain loud tone when just reading text. Hes always wants to listen, though, and takes any order from anyone very seriously, as well as any request for conversation.
And yes, that does mean orders from anyone, even when she is being a Lady in her own home.
She is also one of those bizarre people who does not use contractions.
The Magic Thing
She's got the ability to touch something, be it an item or a person, and see things that it's done or where it's been (rather like 'The Dead Zone's Johnny, really, but she's better with items, and it's all the past, not the future). Due to her synaesthesia, the images are often hard to interpret, and her favourite items on which to practice are keys. It is a mostly useless ability that more than anything simply serves to be annoying to her and cause her fear of touching, like, anything. However, Hesione is completely human.
Backstory
Hesione Anne Pree is the second child of the Archduke and Archduchess of the island of Calescotia, which is still an absolute monarchy, one of the very last in teh world. It is pretty, and scenic, and they do not often use electricity unless neccessary. Everyone dresses more in Victorian period piece. They like living in the past, clearly, and they do not like strange things like supernatural intrusions in their lives.
Which is why after Cyril Pree, first child, was born, and he was so perfect, they had a daughter, Hesione Pree, who was not, and she was truly anything but -- while faintly pretty in her own way, her nerves were all wrong and she suffered frequent spells. She also had this bizarre desire to touch mysterious things, and one day at the age of nine, bored with her elder brother Cyril and younger brother Andirón, Hesione escaped outside, where she met Brice Camlin, twelve, who started to show her the ropes.
She started calling him her guardian angel, having no clue that Brice actually was an angel. Growing up, now, Hes spends far more time with her family than on the streets, but is still working on wanting to improve the welfare of the poor. It only sometimes works.
