(1858 - 1881) DISOWNED Geoffrey Fitzwilliam was the irritable, second-youngest son of Lord Alexander Fitzwilliam and his wife, Harriet.

He was a known player who slept with many women and, apparently, many men. He had a fixation on one of the family servants, Hans, and raped him repeatedly over the course of several months. But Geoffrey also had syphilis, and in the spring of 1881, his jealousy over Hans's attachment to Geoffrey's younger brother, Benjamin exploded. Hans and another servant, Willie were discovered to be having an affair with Benjamin. They were condemned to be hanged off the branch of a tree in the backyard of the estate, but Benjamin, who was ill with what was most likely tuberculosis, couldn't stand it.

He fled his bedroom and freed the two boys, sparking a jealous rage and led Geoffrey to shoot and kill several members of his own family, several servants and even soldiers before turning the gun on himself. In the wake of his rampage, Benjamin was dead, along with his two servant lovers.

Geoffrey's body was burned and he was disowned immediately.

He now exists in the cellars that were built over the location his body was burned, a restless and angry poltergeist who would do harm to anyone who crossed him.

So, in that respect, he is sort of an NPC.

Unfortunately, he's also Scout's.
