Fitzwilliam School of Ballet and Performing Arts

FSB is a not-for-profit ballet studio offering lessons in classical ballet for anyone between the ages of three and adulthood. Most of the classes are geared towards a professional career, and the school works to get its students into ballet schools and companies around the world. It offers several scholarships to cover any costs. Additionally, there are classes for late beginners, or casual enthusiasts.

Its demographic is primarily disadvantaged children and adults from Cape Town. It offers a meal plan and provides all dance equipment free of charge. In the future there will be rooms for boarding, and perhaps even tutors, but as the school only opened for spring 2009, there is not yet the need.

There are four studios, and classes are six days a week, excluding Sundays.
