Detailed Information

Physical Description

Six foot even, to start off. Has black hair, and very dark brown eyes, and paleish skin. Large and distinct hands. Noticable large hooklike nose. Very long scar across his neck as if someone tried to slit his throat; someone did, a long time ago. Mostly he hides the last one now. (Also, Adrien Brody.)

Personal Information

He's quiet, aloof, secretive and personal. This is not surprising, considering how old he is and how long he's been alone, and how sure he is that to be safest he has to be alone most of the time. This is not necessarily true, but it's how he feels and it's suited him well enough.

Mir loves to learn, and over a hundred and ninety-four years there's been a lot to learn. He doesn't love people, though he likes to watch him – he's a compulsive watcher, almost always keeping to the shadows and only interfering when something that he deems unjust is going on. He's saved a few lives that way, and subsequently also ended a couple. (The last part wasn't always intentional.)

Like all demons he can be loyal to a fault, though it is easier when he has no one to be loyal to (if you ask him). Like all demons he also has a violent temper; unlike most he is very able to keep it in check.

He is an example of a demon who is fully and completely in control. He touches his power (except for his physical prowess) only when he absolutely has to, which is almost never. These are very very very rare – your average demon character will have nothing close to his control.

Backstory

The idea that I can make this any more than just notes when it has to cover a hundred and ninety-four years is probably a joke, so I am going to try it in bulletpoints for now!

  • Born in September of 1813 in Bucharest, Romania. He had a demon father and a human mother; his father didn't kill his mother, but he did leave so long ago that they never actually met until he was much older, and they ran into each other again. Dragomir's stepmother was the reason for that.
  • Learned as soon as he possibly could that there was something really fishy going on about what he was like, after his first manifestation at 13. Getting very very angry led him to kill a small group of people mostly by accident, which then led to the first time he tried to kill himself. Spent the next essentially forever learning to control it, eventually figuring out, because he posessed a brain, that the less he tried to do things like sprout wings and make things explode, the less he felt the urge to, and the less he thought about sucking up souls during outbursts and getting high off other people, the less he actually did.
  • Spent as much time alone as possible doing all of these things. Mir essentially made a life of trying not to be the bad person he'd always known he was – the early wisdom set in further when he'd accidentally killed his mother, too, at fifteen. That was where he got the scar across his neck, because that particular occasion, more than any, he wanted to die.
  • Not all that much really interesting happened until, while lurking somewhere at night in Paris in 1878, when Paris really had a lot of supernatural going on in it, Mir noticed a group of vampires teeming – something one didn't see every day. They were teeming around a blond grey-eyed boy who gave him a headache to look at; either way, they were about to go after the boy, and so he beat them all off and took care of the boy, who was two parts fool and two part drunkard and all parts really just too young to know better. The boy also turned out to be named Pierrick Rémi, and they've been friends ever since this incident.
  • Dragomir has been in both World Wars. This was his choice. He was in the French army for the first, and the Royal Air Force for the second. (He ran into Pierrick again at Normandy, for about eight hours – a posting error.)
  • The family of demons in Blackburn who are renowned for their control? He taught them, long ago and many generations back. He still checks on them sometimes, too. (Actually, a lot of Blackburn's mythos can be somehow connected to him – through that family, he knows the truth of a lot of the stories.)
