Physical Description
Dawn has medium-length brown hair that back then she often wore in pigtails when she was younger, and these days wears down and flyaway when she's actually looking like herself. She likes to wear lots of fairly plain rings (metal bands with no stones or small flat ones), and is blue-eyed. Her nose is fairly strong, and she really really really could always pass for Robert's twin. Quite close to a female version of him, though the eyes are a lot younger and lack the shadows. Her fingers are always slightly hooked from playing the piano way, way, way too much.
Beige shirts with big flare sleeves and square necks + Dawn = love.
She doesn't often look like this anymore, and instead ages herself whenever she's out with anyone in her family. Dawn kind of aches to look like herself more, but she hasn't got anyone to pretend to be – well, she does, a false cousin somewhere like Robert, perhaps – and does have children. And a husband who knows very well she can make him immortal and won't let her. So she, instead, looks like what someone matching that description would look like at seventy-one. A healthy, attractive seventy-one.
Her hair remains brown. Some vanity is intact.
Personal Information
She's a very enthusiastic person, I will give her that. A lot of Heidi's cheerfulness came from Dawn. She isn't loud and vivacious, though, nor is she bold and pushy much – Alice and Sully filled those roles for her. They still do. But Dawn was a girl who started out bookish and quiet and got more sociable as time went by.
It doesn't stop her from sometimes being nervous, and easily overwhelmed.
Backstory
Born in a little house in Surrey, spent her early childhood moving between Surrey weeks and Alnwick weekends. (Her parents both worked at Surrey's North Downs hospital, which was also where they met.)
Her mother died when Dawn was ten.
Eventually went to university for pharmacy school; had an internship at the London Capio hospital I really need to name.
Married in 1970. Had kids in '74 (son Alan) and '76 (daughter Heidi). Got in huge fight with Robert in 1985 and didn't really talk to him or Alice until 2008.
Things are looking up.
